The photo essay below contains a top ten countdown of the most dangerous cities in America (with a population above 200,000 people) according to the FBI's most recent Uniform Crime Report statistics, which were released on September 16th, 2013. The photo essay below consists of beautiful photographs taken by various sources, of each city's skyline. Each photograph is accompanied by a caption that lists the rank of the city as well as population, murder rate, and median household income statistics, according to lawstreetmedia.com. Every caption contains the source in which each photograph was derived from. As college students who will be searching for careers in multiple cities in the near future, I chose this topic to inform myself and my peers of the cities in our country that contain the highest violent crime rates. The layout is set as a slideshow to countdown from 10 to 1 displaying the most dangerous cities in the United States. A photograph of the skyline of each city was chosen because I believe that a skyline displays a city with the most success. My intentions were to select beautiful pictures of each skyline to send an ironic message that high crime is happening in beautiful places.
